Mailing US Taxes From Panama

Yesterday, I mailed my taxes to the US. I always feel relieved when I have sealed the envelopes and turned them in. I went to the David Post Office yesterday and was pleased to find a very short line to mail letters.
I always request certified mailing and get the receipt showing when it was sent. I have never used anything except the normal Panama mail to send in my tax returns, and I have never had a problem. It cost me about $1.50 to mail the return. The mail should reach the destination in the US in about 8 days.
As a side not, the remodeling of the Post Office looks like it has a long ways to go before it is complete.
