Brulee FaceLift

Before Cocina Rica opened in David, one of the better places to go have a coffee and a slice of pastry was Brulee. I think Cocina Rica took a bite out of their business. As I drove by the other day, I see that a new sign is up and Brulee has been updated on the outside. That says to me that they still want to be considered a good option for some eating entertainment.
If you want to know where it is, here is some general directions. Assuming you are on the InterAmerican Highway, going toward Costa Rica, turn left at the Shell station across from the KFC. Before you get to Romeros on the right side of the street, you will see the sign in the photo above.
I stopped there this afternoon to see how the changes turned out. I was fortunate to be there when Patricia Guerra (part of the management team) was in. She said they had been open for about a week and this is new management. Patricia is the attractive young lady on the right.

The inside area is pretty large and done in nice bright yellows and orange.

I ordered a cappuccino ($2.00) and a slice of cake ($1.00). Shoot it was worth that much just to get to talk to Patricia.

Brulee has a pretty good-sized menu. It is really more of a sandwich place then a pastry place, but that is what the sign at the front says.
Here is the menu so you can know what you want before you go there. If you stop in, tell Patricia you heard about Brulee on Chiriquí Chatter.

How’s the coffee?? Panama……..must be good. Ready to take you back to Mozart’s for some good coffee and conversation!!!
I can’t speak for the coffee, but the cappuccino was good. If I make it to Motzart’s how much is the conversation?
Looks really nice. I’d love to come down sometime and sample!
Well, once you get here, the conversation is on me……..uh, just not about me!!!
What a relief!
