Chiriquí Champions Return

The Chiriquí baseball team won the championship in Panama City the other day. Last night they received a welcoming celebration in David. I could hear the fireworks going off and could see them from my back balcony. I gave some thought to going and taking some photos, but decided not to fight the crowd.
None the less, I would like to say “Congratulations” to the Chiriquí champions.

Regardless of being or not sports fans, we chiricanos love to hear the phrase ¡Chiriquí Campeón! Thank you for congratulating the champions. When the teams from other provinces are the winners, we also congratulate them even if the stadium neighborhood remains as quiet as a tomb…
