I Watched the Game
Feb 5th, 2007 by Don Ray
Even with all the pixilation, I enjoyed the game. Every now and then I would switch to channel 26 and watch ESPN, but I couldn’t handle the Spanish commentators and always came back to channel 53. I really needed two TVs. One to put on channel 53 for the audio and one to put on channel 26 for the picture. I really had no favorite team in this game, so I didn’t care who won. I thought it was a fun game to watch. There were more errors than one would like to see, but they even made it interesting.
It was the first Super Bowl game I can remember played in a steady rain. Considering the weather, I am surprised that there were not more rain-related errors. You have to feel a little sorry for the Bears, but I thought last night that the Colts were the better team and deserved to win.
If there was a disappointment in this year’s Super Bowl, I thought it was the commercials. I didn’t think there were any memorable commercials and most were not even that entertaining.
In another sports related moment, the Chiriquí baseball team won the championship yesterday in Panama City. I bet more people in Panama were watching that game than the Super Bowl.
