KK - Thanks for leaving a comment. The Olympic pool's water didn't look good the day I was there also. There were people swimming in it. The kids pool looked ok. I didn't look at the third pool, but it was full of people also.

Probably the best swimming pool in this area is at the Gran Nacional Hotel.

Visited this park and pools yesterday.. what a disappointment. We paid $2 to get in for two of us. Very hot that day, a little overcast too. The olympic pool was a mess, cannot see the bottom, full of (vegitative) material? Same with the smaller pool. The kiddie pool looked OK from a distance, maybe the water is too shallow to look like pea soup?

Anyhow, my gut had told me to stay away as we decided NOT to even enter the pool area on 2 prior occasions, just did not feel right. Anyway, if you're looking for clean public pools, forget about it. We turned around and walked out. I considered demanding my $2 back, but the lady was so nice at the place and .......I figured it was just another lesson in life: LISTEN to that little voice.... :)

If anyone knows of a similar offering that features clean amenities, please respond..

Thanks,
K

Hi Don
While it has been 4 years, this looks like the same park I visited at the time we were staying in Concepcion except there have been many improvements.. If it is the same, if you stay on the street that is on the east side of the square until you come to the park on the left, it may be easier to find the first time. Great pics
