Chiriquí Chatter Site Is Up But Crippled
Feb 2nd, 2007 by Don Ray
Just a short note to let you know that while the site is up it is crippled. I had entered the previous post prior to the system breakdown, so I was able to do some simple editing and get it posted.
However any new posts that require photos, hotlinks, etc., are not possible until my web host solves the problem with their last night’s maintenance. I could post if I wanted to do all the HTML by hand, but that is too much trouble. I am just going to wait until they have WordPress functional again.
I assume from your viewpoint everything is displaying correctly. If you are seeing problems from your end, let me know.

Are you using your hoster only for Wordpress? If so you might want to consider moving your domain to the free Wordpress.com site. You can setup a free blog there, export your data from here, re-import in your new site, and then transfer your domain. I think they do charge $10/year to host your domain name, and you have to pay for extra storage, but otherwise it is free.
Well I have several things that I am using on from the Host Site. Wordpress is one. I am also using Coppermine for the photo Album and the Help Desk software. I have been thinking about putting on a guest book.
The free WordPress site has a limitation of 50meg for photos. That is too much of a limitation. I have a free blog over there now that i used as a training tool for a friend of mine.
Don, all is showing up fine at this end.
Yes it is getting back to normal. Most of the admin functions are operational again. I just received an email saying it was a problem with the permission setting on the style sheet. Now I just need to get the WordPress Backup function going again.
