Damn Damn Damn
Jan 14th, 2007 by Don Ray
I thought I had a great day until a while ago. I went to make a call and realized that I didn’t have my cell phone. I went to the Boquete flower festival today and then to the Antojitos restaurant and the rest of the time I was in the car.
If anyone in Boquete reads this and happens to go by Antojitos ask Maritriny if she found a phone next to the small table next to the counter where she cooks.
If I lost it at the Boquete flower festival, I know it is lost for good. I guess I will go by MoviStar tomorrow and have them keep an eye out for a Sony A910a coming in to have the number changed.
There will be a reward if the phone is returned.

Hello Mr. Ray
I was last in Panama in April of ‘06 and fell in love. I’ll be coming out again on the first of Feb. with my 12 yr.old daughter and 16 yr. old niece. i would like to take them river rafting can you recomend with whom and where in your area?
I’ve researched panama for 2 yrs. now and am seriously considering retirement there.
Have you been to Playa las Lajas?
Regards from Wyoming!

Hi Victor. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
I haven’t gone on the river rafting so I really don’t have a recommendation from personal knowledge. I know there are at least one or two river rafting companies that operate out of Boquete. I am sure they have websites that Google will direct you to. It is doesn’t, drop me an email and I will look them up in the phone book.
I have been to Playa Las Lajas a few times. It is one of the more gentle beaches in Chiriqui. However I would always be careful in any of the beaches when the tide is changing, if swimming is what you are interested in.
Double damn is expressive, but triple damn is quite serious… Watch that blood pressure… Divine order that it turns up for you,Don!
Guess you will NOT be in a mood for a traveler question, but perhaps some other knowledgeable soul will be, so here goes…
We are traveling from Austin to Panama via DC (to lobby), and will have cell phone with us by default since we are traveling on to Panama. Have a multi-country capable cingular motorola razr phone, but wonder what it would take to use it in Panama since will have it with us anyway? Anyone? Have been told it will be cheaper to rent a temp phone there, but don’t want to be carrying two phones, now do I?
If it is a phone that has the 850 gsm frequency, you should just be able to buy a chip and use it here. It would need to be an unlocked phone.
