I wish I had something prophetic to say, but I guess I will leave that to the soothsayers. I just know that I am happy to have made another milestone. Panama City was alive and sparkling as the clock struck twelve. All around the city you could hear the booms and pops from various sized firecrackers. All sorts of aerial fireworks were visible in all parts of the city.
As far as I know this is only the individual residents that shoot off all the fireworks that you see. I am not aware of the city paying for any fireworks. It didn’t decrease the celebration at all. I shot a minute clip of some of the Panama City Skyline so you can get an idea of what was taking place. At midnight it began and thirty minutes later it was slowing, but there was still a straggler here or there that would send up a rocket.
As you watch the video you will hear alarms going off from houses and cars because of the vibrations that were taking place. Enjoy the video.

Spectacular show, Don Ray! Thanks for showing that. You know, they almost looked like transformers blowing. Very pretty though.
It was more spectacular than the video showed. Some of the biggest action was always off screen and when I would pan to that area, the real action would be in another. However, that still provided a taste.
Gee thanks- Fireworks are BANNED here…even with a foot on snow on the ground, get busted and its a $1000 fine.
No wood roofed housed here. Not near the danger as in the States.
That was nice! I can conceive, that biggest one was always out of camera`s view
Thank you also your lovely poet after Christmas!
Your thoughts in it are very true.
Have a happiest year ever, Don!
Thanks for the comment Leena. Isn’t it the truth anbout photos just like catching fish. The biggest and the best got away.
Glad you enjoyed the poem.
No fire danger here either just allot of Doo-gooder danger and micro managing of big Gov.
Well, if you enjoy firing off fireworks, then Panama will give you the opportunity.
