Grandpa, Could you help me please?
Dec 16th, 2006 by Don Ray
I don’t think you have met my granddaughter Megan (age six) because my photos of her were too out of date. Luckily I received some recent photos, so let me introduce Megan. I will get photos of her brother an sisters at another time, but today she sent me an email with a request that her grandpa help her.
You can see from the photo that she is making the kind of request that no grandfather can refuse, and her email request follows her photo.

Hi Grandpa,
i got a project from school can you help me with it? You got to take Stanley around and take pictures about what you did.
This is Stanley Lambchop as portrayed by Megan.

This is the letter that describes what is requested to complete the class exercise.
If it isn’t too much trouble, I would like to invite you to assist my granddaughter in completing her assignment. I would really appreciate all my fellow bloggers as well as readers of Chiriquí Chatter participating so that my granddaughter’s class will have a world map filled with Stanley’s travels.
You can see from the letter that a postcard is invited. I have also previously set up an email address for Megan so she can receive emails as well. I would request that if you send photos as an attachment that you send them in a jpg format that is not too large as her mailbox is only 10 meg in size.
Megan’s email is megan @ chiriquichatter.net. Remove the spaces to make the email address valid.
Thanks in advance to all that participate.

Hola Don,
One of the biggest draw backs that I can see to being in Panama, is leaving cute grand daughters behind in the states (or elsewhere). My daughter is pregnant with our first grand child (a boy) due in May, so you know Kim and I will not be in Panama in May! Have a great Holiday season in Panama and I’ll send your Megan (also my 29 year old niece’s name) a post card from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
Ron
Send the card to Melisa Stout with the Texas address from Stanley (Friend of Megan). That should work.
Thanks for helping Ron and you are correct. Leaving family is the one drawback. However the Internet is a big help in that department. I see photos and have some communication on most days from family in the states.
Hi Don Ray,
How can anyone resist? I printed the pic of Stanley Lambchop and will be taking him with me over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully we’ll get a few “postcards” to Megan before Jan. 19th.
L.
