Thanks for this post.  This is a nice insight into the local's lives.

When I lived in Indonesia, I got to attend several weddings.    One of the weddings I attended was that of one of our company staff.  There were just three of us bules (pronounced boo-lays, Indonesian for foreigner), and the groom's father was so pleased that we made the trip (from Jakarta to Bandung) for his son's wedding.  It was the best of times.
