You Just Never Explained That Way Before
Nov 22nd, 2006 by Don Ray
A young man named John received a parrot as a gift.
The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird’s mouth was rude, obnoxious, and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird’s attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music, and anything else he could think of to “clean up” the bird’s vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up, and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot, and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in desperation, threw up his hands, grabbed the bird, and put him in the freezer.
For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that he’d hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto John’s outstretched arms and said “I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I’m sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior.” John was stunned at the change in the bird’s attitude. He was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, when the bird continued, “May I ask what the turkey did?”

Very funny! Hehehe!
Is there a moral here? Maybe no matter how bad we think we have it, there’s always someone worse off?
Thanks for the laugh, Don Ray.
I think I’d be asking what the turkey did too! LOL
I believe I remember your saying you were going to Panama City this weekend??? Well, have a good trip and we’ll see you when you get back.
Lynda
La Gringa. Ain’t it the truth. Kinda puts things in perspective.
Lynda, No not this weekend. More likely for Christmas.
Thanks to both of you for stopping in.
I got this in an e-mail from my father, and I think the punch line is terriffic! Thanks for posting it.
I received it as an email also. I thought it was funny and appropriate for tomorrow’s festivities.
Hi Don:
The change of attitude of the parrot is very understandable after seeing the frozen turkey. Good joke to stretch a facial muscle or two.
BTW, Happy Thanksgiving!
Best Regards,
Omar.-
Well, I guess it could be a real motivator.
Thanks for stopping in Omar.
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!
Very good joke Don, thanks for the laugh.
I am glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for leaving a comment.
