Some Boquete Changes
Nov 12th, 2006 by Don Ray
After having my great meal, I thought I would drive around Boquete and see some of the changes that I had heard about. The changes are definitely visible.
Across from Fletes Chavale is a building I thought was going to be Banco General, but I see another area has Banco General’s name on it, so I don’t know what is going in here.

Across the street it looks like a Revilla Drug store is going in. This used to be a small market.

Across the street from the Bistro is another large construction going on. I don’t know what is going in there.

The Central Park has received a beautification.

The municipal building with the post Office has also had a facelift. Very impressive.

Here is Plaza Los Establos which says it will include Banco General.

This is the Machu Picchu restaurant I had heard about. Remember if you go there that I understand that the tip is being included on the bill. You could always ask before ordering if their practice is to include the tip on the bill. If they say yes, tell they your philosophy is to have the tip reflect the service and the quality of the food and see what they say.

Well, I have to admit, there have been a lot of changes since I was there last.

Hey Don…what country are the labors from on those building projects? I know I keep harping on Costa Rica, but they use illegal Nicaraguans as cheap labor for their labors.
I feel certain that the labor used here are Panamanians.
