Restaurante La Típica de David
Nov 11th, 2006 by Don Ray

A new Chinese restaurant has opened up in David. I had to go by AirBox Express today and it is right across the street. While I was there I walked over and took some photos.
As you can see from my photos, I was there pretty early and there weren’t many clients there.

After I got my Saturday chores finished, it was lunchtime and I returned to the restaurant and ate. The food was good and the prices are Panamanian and not inflated for gringos. When I got there at 12:30 PM, it was full. The restaurant is open air, so don’t expect to eat in an AC environment. None the less, it is very pretty, and definitely another restaurant to add to your David Restaurant’s list.
Here is the street intersection. It is easy to find.

Read your comments on gringos. I agree completely. Never try to Americanize Panama, it would ruin it. We are TRYING to buy a small place in Boquete. Coming in February for a last try. Prices are the same as the states. Guess we are too late.

Charlie
Hi Charlie. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Don’t give up on your plan.

I spent March 2007 at the Panama Rey, and La Tipica was one of my favorite restaurants: I ate there often, and recommend it. A fine variety of tasty food, and good prices.
Hi James. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
That’s a new place for me to take my loved ones while visiting David in December.
Thanks.
Hi Juan. I hope you enjoy it.
