La Fontana in David
Oct 14th, 2006 by Don Ray
There was a question the other day on a Yahoo group about the houses that were being constructed behind the Chiriquí Mall. Since I was at PriceSmart this morning I stopped into the sales office, which is next to PriceSmart.
The have four models and said they still have lots to build any of the models. I scanned the brochures. Forgive the quality. The brochure didn’t allow for the best copying. Don’t construe my displaying the brochures here as a recommendation for or against this development. I strictly saw a person wanting information that wasn’t easily available on the Internet, and it was easy for me to get the answer.
The prices of the models and information on each model follows:
Cadiz - $62,500

********************************************************************
Malaga - $64,798

********************************************************************
Altamira - $79,966

*******************************************************************
Alicante $104,000

Great info Don, this is perfect! Do you have a new or fairly new house similar to these in your area?
No, I don’t.I may try to make it out to the models. I would kind of like to see how they are finished inside.
The artist did a good job of sketching the area and homes for LaFontana. I had requested add’l info before from LaFontana, such as what is actually COMPLETED, maintenance fees, etc but only rec’d credit app. Before I waste my time checking out places, I like more info first. Anyone know where I can get more info before I make the trip up to David?
Did you try the emails on the brochures above? That is what I would do. I have driven through the area and they have a large number completed. For this type of area, there may not be maintance fees, but I don’t know that.
Don: We checked on these models and one thing that was mentioned from a friend is that they burn the sugar cane fields in that area. How true this is - we don’t know. Just information.
I don’t know how close the sugercane fields are, but if there are sugarcane fields, I would bet that they burn them. However, this isn’t all the time.
Where I live in David, I am surrounded by houses and trees, etc. Still at various times of the year, I may smell something being burned somewhere. When I was in Boquete, I saw the same thing.
This is Panama and they do burn dried crops and grass.
As a followup, I drove through the development this morning. I thought it was nicely done. There are no sugarcane fields next to the development. That being said, it is still possible that remote farms could burn and you could smell it. I would think this would only be once a year.
The streets were well done and the houses were not too close together. I was pleasantly surprised.
I just learned that http://www.lafontanadavid.com is its website.
Can you add some interior pictures.
You have any models finish yet.If not when you will have complete
finish.
Hi Jose. I don’t have any photos. Why don’t you contact the builders at the email addresses shown above and ask them if they have any.
