Any Day Is A Good Day Good For A Parade
Oct 8th, 2006 by Don Ray
While I was out today, I noticed a parade forming. After I finished with what I was doing, I went back and the parade was underway. I took several photos and a couple videos to give you a flavor. I took the first photos and then noticed that they were going to go by Parque Cervantes so I rushed up there and took some more. This is the exact reason I have started carrying my camera with me every where I go. I never know when there might be something I want to take a photo of.
I am going to put a handful of the photos and the videos here and the rest will go in the Chiriquí Chatter album.

As with any parade you need some music and some noise. Here are three samples from today.
Here are a couple of other photos. The first is a cute little girl. All cars had bags of candy and they through candy out to the people on the street. You can see the bag of candy in her lap and she had just thrown a handful.

This photo shows that the older kids were having a good time too.

Hola Don,
Well you beat me to it with your streaming videos. They are great! I have a lot of video clips of parades, rodeos, etc. from my year on Ometepe Island in Nicaragua. How did you insert them in your blog from YouTube? I am a very visual and auditory person and I love your video additions. Thanks again. That music sounds eerily familiar. I think I have a clip of the same band playing those horns at the Moyogalpa Rodeo!
YouTube provides the html code that needs to be included with the post. What I don’t like is that it exceeds the border that I would like to see it in and runs into the sidebar.
