Paying A Little Less For Gas Today
Sep 24th, 2006 by Don Ray
The prices for gas must have changed last Thursday. Here is the price at a Shell station close to me. What is interesting is that this station is 2 cents cheaper per gallon than the Shell a block away. Normally they are the same. This price should be good until a week from this coming Thursday. The last I checked it was about 12 cents more per gallon in Boquete than David was. I don’t know what the current difference is.

That’s pretty good. You are not going to believe this (or maybe you will). As of this weekend, gas is down to $2.01 here. I’m not complaining, but I just wonder how low it can go.
If it keeps going down there, it will go down here also. It will always be higher here, but the trends are usually consistent.
On Sept.25 87 octane was $2.49.9 a gallon in North Fort Myers, Fl at the citgo/seven eleven. I need to find that $2.01 Station soon.
I am sure you will find it before I do.
Do they go by liters or gallons in panama?
I’m glad they changed that annoying back ground and text color on this web site, it is so much easier to READ now.
Yes, gallon is the standard of measure for gasoline in Panama. The highway speed is in kilometers. Most cars sold in Panama have the speedometer and odometer in kilometers, which requires some getting used to.
Thanks for the feedback on the new theme. I always liked the old theme because it made me think of a paper journal. But nothing lasts forever, so I am going to upgrade and the wool will change. I should have a new theme chosen in a week or so.
Oh, and the “they” that you refer to in your comment is me. Don Ray
