It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane – Yes, It’s a Private Jet
Sep 9th, 2006 by Don Ray
Today could be your lucky day. This morning I received the following email concerning a private jet from Miami to David, Chiriquí sometime January 2007. If you have any interest, I placed the contact email address at the end. For pet lovers this may be an alternative. For those that are interested, I would recommend that you verify that you will meet all US and Panama requirements leaving the US with your pet and entering Panama with your pet. Further that you are certain that someone in David can provide you the required authorization for home quarantine.
Hi Don,
I’ve been reading Chiriquí Chatter for sometime now and have been enjoying your readership. I was wondering if you could help me put the word out.
My husband and I and our 2 dogs will be coming into David from Miami on a private charter sometime in January. The reason for this is our dogs and not wanting them to go by any other means.
It will be a 9 passenger Lear jet. I have no set dates. If any of your readers wish to accompany us with their pets the cost will be pretty affordable even perhaps comparable to flying with pets the commercial way. Similarly it will further lower the price if there is any interest on behalf of the business community in Panama City or Costa Rica for the return leg.
Do you have suggestions on where else to post this information.
Most Graciously,
Thank you,

What a fabulous way to relocate without putting your pet (s) thru the stress of cargo/commercial air travel then a 16 hr drive up to Chiriqui province. I have a pet customs broker arranged to meet the flight -.
The travel dates are open so far. Any time between Jan 15th and Jan 20th. Stress free departure from smaller airport in Opa Locka close to Miami airport and the USD offices.
I will be moving to Boquete in August. Is there any chance you will be going sooner. Can you please tell me where to find a Pet Customs Broker in David as I would like to bring my dogs into there instead of Panama City.
Hi Jim. I will believe the Florida to David flights when i see them. Personally, I think I will wait a while before I use the direct flight from Florida to David even after it begins. I would really like to see the runways enlarged before I take it. The plane that is scheduled is marginal for the current runway length. In the rain, stopping might get a little exciting.
