Having A Little Gas Today?
Aug 14th, 2006 by Don Ray
If you haven’t been keeping track of the Panama gasoline prices, here are the prices for today. I may be wrong, but I think this Thursday the prices should change again and the trend is continuing higher. These prices are about 8 cents more per gallon than prices in Panama City. These prices are also probably about 7 cents a gallon cheaper than Boquete.

Good morning,
I noticed your prices for gasoline and remembered that I just bought some yesterday here in Brookville, Ohio where I live. It was $2.85 per gallon. Then later in the day I noticed the same station selling it at $2.71 per gallon. Last week it was $3.09 a gallon. The prices at this cheap station change several times each day. I wrote to our attorney general about it several years ago and was told what they are doing is legal and the state is powerless to control it. So we pay whatever the price is when we pull in the station.
Here the prices of gasoline are regulated and change on a 2 week frequency. Usually you will hear on the news what the price will be when it is going to change so you you know to fill up before or after the change.
91 octane here is 87 in the US and 95 is 91 in the US. Panama uses the european standard for measuring the octane rating.
