Just thought I would let you know that I am out of pocket for a while. I am in Panama City. Today I went to Manolos. It must have been 4 years since I was there last and I must say that I was disappointed. My churro was small and tough. While it was warm, it didn’t appear to be fresh. My cappuccino was ok, but nothing to brag about. Why is that you remember things from the past being better than they sometimes appear after you have been away for a while.
I had to go to a Toshiba laptop repair location that was in the next block and saw Manolos and just had to go back for a churro. I hope the Toshiba repair location creates a better memory than today’s visit to Manolos.
On television this morning, I watched an advertisement for the Trump Towers that has been announced. Get out your checkbooks. You are going to be able to get a 2 bedroom apartment there for a mere $500,000. Now how can anyone refuse a bargain like that. They said a comparable apartment in the Trump Towers in New York would run around $900,000. Being of strong will power, I think I can pass the temptation.

Although the owner of Manolos loves food, he is a dentist. Probably he has been spending much of his time away from his restaurant kitchen, and relaying on his Kuna crew in charge of the cooking. Do not get me wrong, there are some talented Kuna cooks…but we all, once in a while need some guidance. Do not you think?
M
we were getting worried that you might still be feeling “under the weather” or worse. Relieved to hear your in Panama City!
Sharon, thanks for the concern.
I am better, but still have a little cough. It hasn´t been enough to stop me from having a good time here.
Melissa, I will still go back when I am ready for a cubano sandwich. They have always been great. I assume they still are.
