The Internet charge is $6.30 per hour. They should give you a mixed drink along with your hour on the Internet. I personally think that is crazy. A hotel like this should provide the Internet for free.
It was like going to Fort Knox to get permission to take the following photos, but I was provided a nice escort to assist me in taking whatever I wanted.
This hotel also has one of the best buffets in town. It is $6.50 week days and more on Sunday.
At night this area serves some nice barbeque dinners.

I see that the URL on the brochure is out of date. I did a Google search for Gran Nacional David and found several agency type sites. You might also send an email to the email address on the brochure. I assume it is still good. If it isn’t, let me know and I will try to go by and get a new flyer.

We had a less than ideal experience at Gran National Hotel. The room was very musty, the price was jacked up $10 upon checkout and there was no hot water. Not a good experience and I will not repeat it.
Hi to all and mostly to Don. I stayed in this hotel a few nights and I must say that this was the best hotel of my entire life! What a big and nice positive surprise in such a country. I am from Europe and this hotel beats many of those in western europe.Believe me. I am wondering if the comment with number 10 is not a mistake because everything was absolutely fantastic and I mean it. We had hot water, everything was so extremely clean, friendly and nice that I couldn´t believe that. The staff was precise and very polite. The 3 restaurants they have were just perfect, the food, the drinks and the price. They had a nice big pool and tropical garden.Also very nice and clean. The rooms large with a/c and flat tv with cable. Internet is now free when you have a laptop with you. We had a perfect experience and this is really the best hotel in David. This was my first visit in central america and I fell in love with Panama. From there I drove to Costa Rica also very beautiful and I am planing to move to Panama. Don I wrote you a message through this web page that I wanted to meet with you on 15 th of november but got no answer
I strongly reccomand and when somebody needs some pcitures of the hotel and pool also you Don write here and I will send some. They can help a lot to make a decision.
Hi Paul, I always try torespond to all emails., if I didn’t respond then I there is a possibility didn’t receive an email. Sorry.
What has happened sometimes is that people write me through the “Contact” tab and the email address they enter is not correct. The other day I couldn’t respond because the email destination was rejecting my email. I don’t know what the case was here, but I always attempt to reply.
The hotel scene in David really changing fast. With the new Ciudad de David and the new Best Western, people who visit David have plenty of choices. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with Hotel Nacional.
