One of the mobile phone options in Panama is MOVISTAR. I have used it since I moved here in 2003 and have had good luck with it. When I moved here it was BellSouth. It has worked well for me all over Boquete, Volcan, and even into Costa Rica.

Hi - missed this posting the other day.
Just to let you know, Movistar opened a subsidiary office (a couple of months ago) in the Romero ‘mall’ in San Mateo, David - just behind McDonald’s. I understand that they don’t offer the full range of services as this office, but are there to handle the promotional change-overs, upgrades, etc. However, that may have changed since I stopped in there.
