Costa Rica Observations
Jun 7th, 2006 by Don Ray
While I didn’t get very deep into Costa Rica, I did notice a couple of things. The roads in Costa Rica were noticeably worse than here in Panama. You really need to pay attention if you drive there. Some of those potholes could do serious damage to any size car.
I also noticed that there is a higher use of electricity because the price for electricity is much less than here in Panama. The two homes I visited both were totally electric in the kitchen. In Panama they sell totally electric stoves, but it is usually those moving from the US that buy them because they don’t realize the tremendous savings that a gas stove provides over electric.
Next year I plan on going further into Costa Rica and seeing some of the beaches that are supposed to be so pretty. That trip will contain more photos.

They have a pretty good soccer team and they looked good against, what should be, a superior German team. I wish I were a bigger soccer fan. Off to Ordinations today for 7 Catholic priests. Dick
Their team did pretty good against Germany, but they were overmatched. Equador played well against Poland.
