Hurricane Season Starts Today
Jun 1st, 2006 by Don Ray
Based on how bad the last US hurricane season went, I would imagine that many people on the coastline of the US are not looking forward to entering a new season.
I also read this morning that they know now that parts of New Orleans are sinking faster than they had previously thought. The article I read said the rate in some areas is 1 inch a year.
I have been one of the people that have thought that money going back into rebuilding New Orleans was money ill spent. Now that the finding on the sink rate has come to light, I am more of the opinion that the money could go for better purposes.
I know, if I were one of the residents living in New Orleans, I would be biting my nails. They say lighting doesn’t strike twice in the same spot. That can’t be said for hurricanes.
Meanwhile, I have another pretty day to look forward to.

Agreement from here on ill spent money and I know several families that moved to Florida now find themselves in fear and without the resources to leave Florida where hurricanes struck twice in the same place last year. Dick
I don’t envy them.
