Gas Price Correction

I got out today and the gasoline price was lower than I thought I heard on the television. 91 Octane is $3.13, which is six cents less after the price reduction. I thought I had heard one cent. I must have been having a senior moment.

More TGI Friday Progress

There is more progress on the outside and I have seen air-conditioner ducting on the inside, but as you can see, it won’t open any time soon.
In case you still think that TGI Fridays in David is just a rumor, the sign was on the fence today.

Sob Stories For Gringos

Maybe it is worth pointing out that once you enter Panama, and probably any other Latin American country for that matter, you become the target for the “The Sob Story Scam Artist”.
I have read many times that these people can be found in Panama City or the airport in places where they think they can [...]

Mixed Signals – I think not!

In writing about the current immigration debate, USATODAY says that the “SENATE SENDS MIXED SIGNALS ON ENGLISH”. When the Senate voted yesterday on calling English the National language, they didn’t. According to the Panama Institute of Geosciences, the number of tremors is decreasing in Boquete.
My translation of the Institutes’ post for today:
Between 4:58, in the afternoon of May 14, and 5:00 in the morning on May 16 there have been 13 registered tremors in the area of Boquete of which two were felt. One was [...]

I stopped at the BOOKMARK on my return from Boquete. As you can see from the photo, the BOOKMARK has added a new room on the left. Hal said he needed more space so he could display the books better. The room has just been completed and is not quite ready to contain books. He [...]
