Toyota RAV-4

I stopped by to take a peak at the new Toyota RAV-4 while I was out today. I really like the looks, but I don’t care a whole lot for the price.

We exchanged emails a few months ago. My wife and I are planning to purchase a new Honda CRV or a Toyota Rav4 in the States this fall and drive it to Panama. We also intend to enter Panama on a tourist visa and then apply for Pensionada status. I suspect that I won’t be able to register the car in Panama until we have our Pensionada visa. Who would be able to advise us on this issue as well as the customs problems that we will probably encounter.
I enjoy visiting your website and we are looking forward to our retirment in Boquete.

I can’t address your issues. You will need to be clear on all the issues. I feel certain that you will have topay taxes and duty on any car brought into Panama. I am not shure when or how you will do that.
