Mercado Artesanal de David
May 12th, 2006 by Don Ray

I had been meaning to stop in Mercado Artesanal for some time. I guess it had been several days since I have been out and my camera trigger finger must have been itchy today.

Lets go see what they have.

Everything you will see here is created some where in Panama.

Here are some pretty ceramics.

Some small wooden wall hangings and other crafts.

Here are some typical Kuna Indian dresses and other crafts.

Other crafts.

Here are some pillows that use the mola technique.

Here you see some leather covered furniture, drums and fruit wine (personally, I don’t care for the fruit wine).

I think this pottery comes from Santiago in the province of Veraguas.

Looks like it could use a little dusting.

That completes your tour. Everything you saw is available for purchase.

Looks interesting. What’s the location?
It is on the Inter American Highway. Look for the sign. Same side of the road as Cochez.
Nice photos
