Let’s take a trip down to the David Square.
There are always good things happening there.
We can get a cool drink if you wanta.
Fresh sugarcane and lime or a pipa de agua.
How about a hotdog, with mustard, relish and a little onion,
Ah jeez, a park like this is meant to have fun in.
We can watch lovers sitting on the bench.
Eyes locked on each other and hands held clinched.
He’s telling her what he thinks she wants to hear.
Don’t think she’s buying it, based on the tears.
No wait, must have been something I missed,
She just leaned over and gave him a kiss.
We can get our shoes shined for a half a buck.
You won’t believe how good they’ll look for the time it took.
We can listen to the medicine man selling all of his wares,
He’ll cure gout, make your skin soft and even grow you new hair.
We can have some shaved ice, covered with cherry juice and cream.
Good times like this are just like a dream.
Hey. Lets live life like we don’t have a care.
Let’s take a trip down to the David Square.
