Photo Album Information
Apr 20th, 2006 by Don Ray
The Chiriqui Chatter photo album has had a reasonable number of viewers since I rebuilt it earlier this year. I think the software presents the photos in a pretty intuitive manner, but perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to provide a little more information.
While I have the photos in a much higher resolution, I haven’t put the high-resolution photos in the albums. All photos should be close to 800 x 600 pixels, which doesn’t require much time to download.
The photo album is organized by year and then by album within that year. If you click on an album, then you will be presented with thumbnails of the photos in the album. Clicking on a thumbnail will enlarge the thumbnail photo and also display a filmstrip of photos before and after the current photo. If you click on the current photo you will see the photo in its fullest size.
From time to time I may add photos to the current years albums without posting anything about the additions in the blog. If I add a new album, I will let you know, but not necessarily when I add more general photos to an existing album.
Lastly, the main page of the photo album has to two special areas that are shown below the main directory. The first is a random set of photos from all albums. I guess this is intended to be a teaser. The second displays the last photos that have been uploaded. This section makes it easy for you to know if anything has been added since your last visit to the photo albums.
If you haven’t been to the photo albums, you can get there by clicking on the word “Photo” above the photo on Chiriqui Chatter’s home page or you can go here.
