I was sitting here in one of my philosophical moods and thinking how good I feel today. If you had asked me 15 years ago what I thought it would take for me to be happy, I doubt that you would have gotten the same answer that you would get today. Back then my life was pretty complicated, filled with stress and I have to admit I was a person that really got turned on by the latest and greatest.
Today, I find myself living in what many would consider a third world country and having the best time of my life. I think that happiness is really a state of mind that can be influenced by your attitude and realizing that you really need to live each day to the fullest and like it was your last.
While this was running through my head, I remembered Roger Miller’s old song about not being able to roller-skate in a buffalo herd.

I haven’t listened to Roger Miller in a long time. Thanks for the memory.
You used words “a state of mind”. This brought to my mind my daughter over ten years ago, when she asked, how a human being has strenght enough to live so long time. Her grandmother was those days 90 years old. I didn`t know at first what I should say, but after a while I said:” Human beings have a spark of life inside, sometimes it is like a flame sometimes it almost goes out, but give some time for it and believe, the spark is always inside you even during your worst days. She smiled and gave me a hug. Spark, spark …inside me, she sang.
I wish, the everybody`s spark of life can become to flame of life and make a state of mind as good as possible.
