Some People Never Grow UP

I happen to be in that select group. Today, while I was making my weekly visit to PriceSmart I saw an item on the shelf that I just had to have. It took me back to my childhood.
I can remember as clear as day, even though I was probably less than 10 years old, my family driving to Enid, Oklahoma to buy the groceries. Living on the farm, you only went about once a week and for me it was a real treat.
There were two things I loved to get. One was a 25cent bag of hot roasted cashews at Woolworth, and the other was a box of Barnum and Bailey animal crackers. They were probably a dime.
From that time on I have loved cashews and animal crackers. In Dallas I would stock up on Stauffer’s Animal crackers at Sam’s. Just as good as Barnum and Baileys, but in a huge bag.
When I moved to Panama, the only animal crackers I have seen are Panamanian and just not the same. But today PriceSmart has Stauffer’s Animal crackers. If you like animal crackers, you better stock up. They won’t last long.
