I was Cursing Oteima Today!
Feb 18th, 2006 by Don Ray
I had to move my computer today and the cables that Oteima made for my Internet connection failed again. They have acted flaky the whole time I have had them. I had to always jiggle the connector to get it just right for it to work. Well today, it decided not to work at all.
Luckily I had purchased an Ethernet kit at Pars Computer for $18 several months ago and it saved the day. The kit contained a lot of terminators, testers for both ends of the cable and the terminator-clamping tool. I had filed the wiring diagram on making cables and today, I learned how to it.
Mine worked the first time. Out of three cables that I know that Oteima have made all have been flaky.
If you have to have Ethernet cables made in David, I recommend you do it yourself or have anyone but Oteima do it.

Hi Mr. Don Ray, I am the president of Oteima and by chance I read your complaint in internet. I am sorry for what happened we are not perfect, we are trying. As you must have noticed in Panama you have to be teaching the people constantly we are doing it.
Please try us again and take this add out. It is hurting an honest panamanian company who is trying to give the best possible service , we do not always succeed, please forgive us.
We are trying to give you and other foreigners who come to our country looking for something you did not find in your own a better and life, help us continue believing in your good faith by not hurting us the way you are doing it.

Hi Nixa. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. As with all posts, any experience is open for others to comment against.
I am happy to see that there is someone that is looking to improve the quality of service in Oteima and if anyone has a similar experience they now have a person to contact to rectify the situition. In my previous case, I was told I would have to pay a service charge to have the cables fixed, which was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Because you have taken the time to respond, I will most certainly give Oteima an opportunity to be a provider in my future needs.
