Two Different Worlds

I am currently looking out my window at a beautiful day. The air is clean and the sun is out. It is probably in the high 70’s. I have an orchid out on the balcony that is just stating to bloom.

It is quite a contrast to what I would be looking at if I were still in Texas. People in Dallas woke up to icy streets and a wind-chill of around 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Check the Dallas Morning news front-page article.
I am sure glad I don’t chip ice off my windshield anymore.

Don, that is a beautiful orchid! Here in the city I can not grow them—it is too hot. But I will in Cerro Azul
It may be too hot here soon too, but its pretty now.
