No Bats In My Belfry
Dec 3rd, 2005 by Don Ray
However I had on in my outside sink this morning. Last April or May, I had a guest that visited on several occasions. I found it the first time in my kitchen. The next two I think it had made its way to the dining room. Each time I would capture it ant take it out to my back balcony and release it. On the fourth time I decided it was going to take more radical thinking to convince this uninvited guest I would prefer he didn’t return. The last time I put him in a double trash bag and put him out for the trash men to pick up. He never came back.
This is the first time for this new guest and I am wondering if the other one left a message somewhere that said, “If I don’t return, here is where I went”. Do you think this is the first of a larger search party that has finally taken up the search for their lost friend? I would prefer that it just not return because I think they do some good in reducing the number of flying insects, but it is one thing I would not want for a pet.
I will keep a sharp eye out for the next few days to make sure that it doesn’t return. In the meantime I need to attend to these two strange marks I have on my neck.

You have too much fun for an old guy. Dick
Ah, but it is fun that keeps us alive.
