Plaza El Terronal – December 1, 2005

It appears that the fence that has been hiding the current building status for months has been removed. The target for stores to begin to appear had been December 15. If that happens, it will probably be Furniture City, which seems to be ahead of other stores. Based on Linda’s comment on a previous post, she was hearing that the Plaza would not open until February. Based on what one sees outside, then February should be a very reasonable date. My bet is that some stores will be there sooner.
Hearing that AudioFoto will move their store location from the Central Park area to the new Plaza is very interesting. It makes me wonder if there are stores that are in the Chiriqui Mall that might consider moving also. The Rey grocery store being in the Plaza will be a big draw and I think this mall will have more of an effect on older existing businesses than the effect caused by he opening of the Chiriqui Mall.
