OK, I’m listening! Can you give me the correct pronunciation for Chiriqui?
I have heard some folks pronounce it “Cherokee”, as in the American Indian tribe. Is this correct?

Your pronunciation is close. In Spanish the “I” is pronounced as an “E” is pronounced in English. However, there is no “o” sound in the word. It is more like chair-e-key.
