Why Buyem, If You Ain’t Gonna Useum

I noticed that I didn’t have any parking cards to allow me to park in downtown David this morning so I bought two dollars worth of 30-minute cards. Thirty-minute cards are a dime each, so I bought 20. To park in numbered parking you have to fill out a card, date and time you parked, and put it in plain sight so it can be read by the equivalent of meter maids (you just don’t have parking meters).
Now that I had the cards, I looked for a parking place in front of Opticentro VEGA. And as always there isn’t any parking. This is another reason to go to Óptica Lopez, it is easy to get to and easy to find parking, because they reserve 3 parking places for their customers. After driving around the block 3 times, I gave up and parked a block off.
I had to see the Costa Rican Consulate, which is in the same building complex as Opticentro VEGA.
Next, I ran by Oteima see what motherboards they carry. I am trying to get some options before my PC is built. Well they sent me to the back and I talked to a fellow I always seem to be directed to. And for some reason he has yet to be of any help. He seems to find it easier to say, “Oh, I will have to check on that and it will be 3 days from now, maybe before I know anything.
So Oteima was a waste of time. I return to my car and find a parking ticket. I hadn’t put a parking card out, because I was only going to be 5 minutes and I saw no one in sight that would be issuing tickets. I tell you, these meter maids are like ghosts. They appear out of nowhere, put a ticket on your car, and disappear again.
Well, now I am chapped at myself for not putting a 10-cent card on the window. So off I go to the municipal offices to pay my parking fine of $1.00. I won’t be so lazy next time!
Now my last stop is Micro Technology to check on motherboards. This sweet little girl listened to my need, typed in something into her PC, left and returned with an MSI motherboard. Sorry Oteima, your service sucks. Micro Technology appears to be one of the better places to have a PC serviced. Now that I have another source for motherboards, Alex and I can get on with the PC project. He may have other options to consider now. Stay tuned.
