Panama Independence Day
Nov 1st, 2005 by Don Ray
I pulled the following from Wikipedia.
“Much of Panama’s domestic politics and international diplomacy in the 20th century were tied to the Panama Canal and the foreign policy of the United States in an effort to improve the conditions of its citizens. At the turn of the 20th century, Theodore Roosevelt pursued United States diplomatic efforts to facilitate a deal that would allow it to take over French canal operations started by Ferdinand de Lesseps. In November 1903, a representative number of Panamanians lead by a covert Separatist Junta presided by Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero, were encouraged to secede from Colombia with support from the United States. On November 3, Panama declared its independence from Colombia after controlling the Colombian army. The President of the Municipal Council, Demetrio H. Brid[1], highest authority at the time, became its de facto President, appointing on November 4 a Provisional Government to run the affairs of the new republic. The United States was the first country to recognize the new Republic of Panama. The 1904 Constituent Assembly elected Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero, a prominent member of the Conservative political party, as the first constitutional President of the Republic of Panama.”
David is preparing for the November 3 celebration of Panama’s independence from Colombia. There will be parades that last literally all day. I would like to take photos, but I haven’t decided if I want to fight the crowds to do it. I guess you will know Friday if you see photos posted.
November the 4th is Flag Day and there will be more celebration. Thursday and Friday are definitely not days to be planning shopping outings in David.
President Bush will be in Panama on November 6-7 meeting with President Martin Torrijos Espino. This meeting follows President Bush’s participation in the Summit of the Americas on November 3-5.
The days of November 3 through November 7 will be exciting days in Panama.

i dont unders tand any of this you should really narrow your speech down and be straight sweet and to the point.
thanx,

Since you are writing from the PITT COUNTY SCHOOLS in Greenville North Carolina, I assume you were Googling for information and stumbled onto a blog. Sorry that your expectations were not met, but blogs shouldn’t be used for research papers.
This is really confusing. Just tell me when panama became a country, who it was freed from and how they became free.
sincerley,
Gabrielle
Sorry. You will have to do your own research if this isn’t good enough for you.
