The Last Dance

Sometime it seems, while we are planning our dreams,
We forget to tell the ones that we love,
That if they were not there, for these dreams to share,
It would be like losing heaven above.
And what’s even worse, is to lose heaven on earth,
By a cruel word, action, or deed.
For once its been done, it can’t be undone,
And from this penance, you’ll never be freed.
If life gives you a chance, to have just one more dance,
And make amends with those that you love,
Take advantage and care, to make them aware,
How you cherished and valued their love.
For when the music is over, and the dancers have left the floor,
All that’s left is the memories, just the memories and nothing more.
