Diamonds or Coal

Diamonds or Coal
By Don Ray Williams

To find the rare treasure that others have missed,
You have to be vigilant, you have to persist.
You must look for the qualities hidden below,
To find value and worth that others don’t know.

Where I have found diamonds, others saw coal.
Where others saw rocks, I’ve panned and found gold.
So it pays to be patient; it pays to persist,
If you want to find treasures that others have missed.

So how about you? Do you recognize,
All the things of great value in front of your eyes?
Some things are so obvious, it’s hard to believe,
That they are as they appear and your eyes don’t deceive.

Trust in your feelings; go with the flow.
When you find something special, then tell someone so.
Remember, be patient; remember, persist,
If you want to find treasures that others have missed.
